Jason is an experienced therapist, educator, researcher, and speaker whose purpose is to bring scientific knowledge and real-life experience to his work in therapy, advocacy, and education.
As a therapist, Jason has worked with adults with mental illness and substance use disorders in residential facilities and outpatient settings. His specialties include substance use (addiction), trauma, depression, and anxiety. He is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, narrative, and experimental therapies.
As an educator, Jason teaches first year medical students at Northeast Ohio Medical University and graduate counseling students at Cleveland State University.
As a researcher, Jason has worked for years in academic research and clinical trials research in neuropsychology, alternative schools, and research clinics.
As a speaker, Jason has shared his knowledge and his personal journey out of addiction in communitt settings, workplaces, church services, support groups, as well as on television, radio, and podcasts, both in the United States and internationally.
